[Founder dynamic] Niu Gensheng attended the “Beyond Charitable Donation” forum

On September 21, the second conference of the GCPI -- the “Beyond Charitable Donation” forum was held at the Hong Kong Center of the Asia Society.


The forum gathered Ronnie Chan who is the Chairman of the Hang Lung Group and Co-Chairman of the Asia Society, Chen Yangzong who is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Enrong Finance Co., Ltd., Guo Zhiming who is the Chairman and Executive Director of Asian Americans Advancing Justice (Los Angeles), Liang Shiyuan who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of HIGHTIDGE PARTNERS, SUE VAN who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Wallace Kurt Foundation, Wang Zhenyao who is the Dean of CGPI and China Philanthropy Research Institute of Beijing Normal University and other world-class leaders of Thought Leadership, philanthropists, scholars, experts and representatives of the Foundations to jointly discuss the future development of Chinese philanthropy affairs in China and America. Niu Gensheng who is the founder and honorary president of the Laoniu Foundation was invited to attend and discuss with Chen Yangzong, Liang Shiyuan, Sue Van and Wang Zhenyao on “explorations on the philanthropy in the Greater China Region and the United States”.

 In 2014, Laoniu Foundation donated to carry out GCPI (Global Chinese Philanthropy Initiative) with the Asian Americans Advancing Justice (Los Angeles), so as to focus on and make studies on the philanthropy of Chinese Americans and Chinese philanthropists in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The project aims to promote the Sino-US philanthropist dialogue and cooperation to improve the relationship between China and the United States, to promote the next generation of Chinese and American Chinese leaders in public and private sectors to carry out philanthropy activities and to promote Chinese Americans and Chinese to actively contribute to society in the United States and the Greater China Region. The project seeks to build social awareness and environment to promote beneficial donation behaviors, effective system and support for philanthropy and improve life.



On September 6 (Los Angeles local time), the GCPI exchange conference was held at the Westin Hotel, and the Chinese and Chinese American Philanthropists research report was released for the first time.

The GCPI exchange conference was successfully completed in Hong Kong, and the Asian Americans Advancing Justice (Los Angeles) also plans to hold a series of large-scale conferences in New York, Beijing and other major cities in China and the United States in the next few months.
